Animation has definitely been one of my best lessons this term. Even though we were just experimenting with stop motion and digital, I’ve been doing well in the lessons.
The stop motion was easy to do as I’ve done stop motion before with lego. The only difference was that I was using paper figures this time. For my one, I made a stop motion short of one of my characters riding a hoverbike and speeding along. Currently, I’m working on extending it and adding a bit of background.
Looking a this piece, I’m quite proud of it. Even though it doesn’t feature much movement, it’s not bad as a first try at stop motion paper figure animation.
For the digital piece, I used Rough Animator (a new app I downloaded) in order to plan and create a title screen to go with the stop motion piece.
This piece isn’t that much thrilling, however, this was one of my first tries using Rough Animator. Plus, the movement isn’t so bad for a first try at a title screen animation. In future, however, I will try to show more movement.
